Most metallic paints are in fact modern pearlescent which require a clear lacquer overcoat. You are strongly encouraged to apply this additional coat as it provides an additional protective cover and the correct colour match.
These may be ordered below at £6.49 for a 500ml aerosol and £9.49 for a 100ml touch-in.

The primer and lacquer are aerosols from the Holts Professional Range. These are not usually seen in shops.
All our aerosols are completely compatible with our top coats.
They are of very high quality and to be recommended.
